2nd Day of Sch: Orientation
The 1st day of orientation ended so quickly, I hadn't had enough fun! Slept for only four hours, so I was really sleepy when the 2nd Day of orientation arrived.
The day started similarly, ya.. long speeches. Let's not talk about the boring stuffs. The day really started when we were back into our group - KinDaiChi!
Wailo x7 (Echo).. This is one of the AC cheers. One after another, cheers were blasted out of our throats. The morning seemed long and the cheers were lacking vigor. Well, no problem with that. It's only the beginning!
Then our group learned the mass dance again. Haix.. AGAIN! Slowly, but surely, we learnt the moves, one after another. My partner, Rebecca, seemed very tired. Who wouldn't be? From my tone, anyone could tell that I was bored. The other people were confused about the steps. Monkey see monkey do. Without the elder monkey, nearly everyone, including me, didn't continue dancing. Believe it or not, many of us have NEVER dance before, let alone dancing with partners from the opposite sex.
Before going for our games, we played some mini games like husband-and-wife.
After that we played a game "musical chair". Same rules apply, but the chair is very, erm, soaked with soap. Nobody wanted to risk getting their bottoms wet, so the pace of the game was lethargic. *Yawn* I guided the blind folded partner to the chair. Slowly and slowly, partners were eliminated one by one. We were the last partners to be eliminated. In other words, after we were gone, there's only two partners remaining. The game became really fun only when there's very few partners left. Luckily, we were eliminated because the last two partners really got wet eventually.
Lunch break arrived. *Fast-Forward* Well, mass dance, again. I emphasize, AGAIN! Aiyo, when will it end? *Fast-Forward*
Games! The second game, playing of water bombs. Two teams were supposed to act like death prisoners, standing in a row, waiting to be mowed down by water bombs. Initially, I was in the center again. Huh?! Doesn't it mean I would get out of the game very soon, again? Fire! One by one, my team mates were "shot dead". I managed to escape, if not barely. Next, the remaining survivors from both teams charged at each other and went for the kill. I was hit. End of story.
The next one, water bomb. This time the primary objective was to snatch a water bag from the pail and run back to our own line. Initially the people were confused and didn't know what to do. Well, there's nothing special about this game, so I shan't describe how the game went on. Btw, it's already drizzling quite heavily.
Now comes the fun part! Papaya touch rugby!! Disgusting is all I could say, yeah, utterly disgusting. Ran about in the muddy field and played with the squashed papaya. Hmm.. all thumbs up for this game!
While we wait for the rest of our team mates to finish their game, there was a mini battle between me and some of the team mates - attacking each other with loads of water bomb. These people had a plan in their mind - to stay put beside the water bomb supply and wait till I ran out of "ammunition". Well, I could still do some short sprints, so sneaking up was my main "strategy" These people were sharp! I was detected, the others were alerted. Fire! I was brought down.
The CCA Display that followed closely was as impressive as the one I witnessed during the Open House. A pity that Kimdaichi was short of time! Signed up a few sports CCA, expecting to go for the trials and then I'll decide which CCA I'll really like and wanna join.
Following that we were taught the first line of the school song. By now, the group leaders were already exhausted. What's more, Kenneth from my group rubbed the squashed papaya skin found on the field against Christina's hair. Yuks! As expected, Christina was sort of upset over it, but still manage to control her emotions very well.
Finally, the Mass Rally whereby all JC 1 students screamed at the top of their voices to cheer. After the devotions, the day ended shortly afterwards.
Well, although the day seemed short, and my teammates didn't talk much, I couldn't start describing how much I like the school and the people around me. Why is this so, I'm not sure either.
