3rd Day of Sch: Orientation
The morning started as usual with the long speeches. I was dozing off, and perhaps drooling during the speeches. It was very cramp and there was not much space to stretch out my legs. This reminds me of the times at Commonwealth Sec where the students had to squeeze themselves into the tiny hall.
After a long long while, it's finally time for orientation programs! Starting it would be the KM3 News, a news report skit put up by some JC2 students. Being absolutely hilarious, it really made most of the audience laugh until they're breathless. The News featured a person, Ian, who was turned into a frog by some mysterious guy. According to the storyline, the four Lossehelins - Carnsir, Celahir, Glofindel and Kyofu were manipulated by the Grand Chancellor Qutti Tavaley into fighting and killing each other. Well, lame as it could be, it was a great start for the day.
The Mass Rally awaits us next. We screamed, shouted, rocked our body while we cheered. Nothing special.
Finally, after the Mass Rally, we could start the games. Waiting for the people in KinDaiChi to gather took lots of time. By the time we gathered, the games areas were already occupied by other groups. We waited for other groups, and in the meantime we practiced our Mass Dance. However, other groups "cut queue" and we waited even longer because of that. Then we migrated to other the other game area, waited, then to another area. As such, we waited and waited. After an hour, we hadn't started any games at all!
It was eventually our turn to play! Wait a minute, the sky.. Oh shit! Raining?! Wtf! No choice, we had to wait, again. Sianz!
*Fast-forward* The first game we played was about attacking enemy flag. The objective is to protect our own flag against water bombs AT ALL COST and to attack the enemies' flags. I was the attacker, missing both of my water bombs and hopelessly watching my own flag being bombarded by the enemy. Omg! My flag's all wet, and this means.. My group had to roll on the mud as a forfeit!! Yuks! To "spice up our lives", the other teams deliberately threw more water bombs onto the mud to make it even muddier. Well, this the way, winners triumph, losers sux. Alright then. *Cover my face* Rolling, rolling.. Yuks!
Scanning.. I'm 50% covered with mud. Advancing to the next station. Wad's that? Dun tell me that is.. Oh my.. Another dirty game?! Well, although sliding on plastic mats stained with starch, water, mud and dirt might seem absolutely revolting at first sight, it was actually very fun! Competing against other groups, we were to dash towards the mat, and upon reaching it, diving onto the mat and sliding all the way till the end of the mat. Horribly disgusting, but nice. Then I'm almost entirely covered with mud coz I over slid and went off course into the mud. Some of the girls in my group protested and demanded "cleaner" games. Naturally, they backed out and this meant I had to slide another few times. Oh No!! And so, one by one, each team member dived. Finally, the score was tied at 8-8. My turn next. *Run.. Dive.. Yeah!!* 9-8. At last, no forfeit for KinDaiChi! Phew! What a close shave with mud! Oh well, I ended up with a couple of scratches on my knees and was "muddified".
Later, KinDaiChi went for lunch. While I was queuing, I met QiYi and chatted with her. Up till then, she didn't know my name and vice versa. I was supposed to guess her name, based on the only hint that her name are both Chinese digits. I guessed.. 38? (Joking, don't take it seriously) She added some Soya sauce on, supposedly, her plate of chicken rice. *Keeps adding and adding..*
Qiyi *astonished* : "Is it.. enough?"
Ee Cheong *bewildered* :"Huh?! Isn't this your plate?!"
Qiyi *taking another plate* : "No, that plate is mine."
Oh no.. There goes my lunch..
After that, we went for games. Raining again?! Why were we so unlucky? Every time when we were just about to start playing games, it either rained or we had to wait a long time till it's our turn. Meanwhile, we practiced the Mass Dance. Soon, the rain was going to stop. Ignoring the other group, KinDaiChi ran to the field and "booked" a game spot. This time, no one could stop us from playing games. Haha!
The fun began. The game we were about to play involved kicking, throwing, heading, everything - as long as the ball landed into the opposition's bucket, it's considered a goal, very much like Basketball (or Bucketball). As such, KinDaiChi ran, rammed, kicked, slipped, catch and even snatched the ball. It's rather rough and dirty, but 'shiok' was all I could say. The game ended with both sides drawing.
Next, while KinDaiChi was waiting for the next game, I stole some water bombs and bombarded Kenneth, Christina, Bryan, Qiyi and some other KinDaiChi people with the bombs. In retaliation, these people ganged up against me and swarmed towards me. I managed to escape most of their bombs, but eventually, I fell into the hands of Christina who grabbed my arm. I was caught! Soon, KinDaiChi surrounded me, brought me down on the mud and.. Taupok!!
The next game was something like Catching, but there's some variation. There's only two Johnny Green Giants (Catchers), one from each side. The others were supposed to escape from these opposition Catcher. Those who were caught would turned into sprouts, static Catchers. One by one, I saw my team mates turning into sprouts. Very soon, the people from both sides were turned into sprouts after a lot of chasing and running away. No one won, no one lost, so no forfeit! *Pant.. Pant..*
This time, the timing for the rain was right. Rain started pouring once the game ended. No more games, we'll just go for a water break.
As I returned from the water break, the ACJC Choir had already started singing Christmas Carols at the lobby. Hey, wait up! The place was so packed up with audience. Even with tip-toeing, I couldn't see anything. Hmpf! Forget it!
Back to the concourse, Rebecca and Jun Yi were playing Pepsi-Cola. Woah, two of the quietest girls in KinDaiChi spontaneously started playing a rough game. Very soon, all the people joined in. I started off aggressively, commencing attack immediately. And this meant that once I missed a shot, that's it. In other words, I was down very soon. While I was concentrating on the game, Christina "Nana" crept up to her unsuspecting victim (me!) and smashed a water bomb on my back. Argh!! You better watch your back, coz u're gonna be wet very soon!
After that, the group gathered with the OGLs and played the Animal game again.
Soon enough, the Mass Rally awaited us. As usual, we screamed till our throats burst. Oh my.. Deborah's hair was covered with mud. It looked like.. shit! Ya by the way, did I mention that she had a loud voice comparable to a loud speaker?
When the Mass Rally was over, I went to bath. Huh..?! No where to hang my clothes n valuables?! Forget it! And so, I dragged my feet home and ended my 3rd Day of AC Odyssey.
